UM Canada and Skip kicked off the delivery service’s largest campaign yet, leaning into comedy with actor Seth Rogen as the brand’s new face. The long-form spot, “Writers Room,” was directed by Emmy Award-winner Evan Goldberg and produced by Spy Films, blending humour with human insight to highlight Skip’s platform, “Skip to the Good Part.” The commercial follows Seth and a writing partner attempting to craft blockbuster movie plots, only to have Skip repeatedly derail them, from a failed mafia setup to a boxer working at a grocery store. Inspired by the idea that great stories need conflict, the campaign pokes fun at the creative process while showcasing Skip’s convenience. Rolling out nationally across TV, OLV, OOH, and social, the work positions Skip as Canada’s homegrown delivery network and brings humour to everyday moments.
