Facing fierce competition, SkipTheDishes needed to reset and re-establish its place in the hearts and minds of Canadians. Boldly dropping “The Dishes” from its name, Skip signaled its transformation beyond just a food delivery app to a brand that would help Canadians Skip to the Good Part of their days. To bring this shift to life, UM helped Skip become unskippable — intercepting real moments of daily tension and flipping them into branded relief and joy. Skip dominated local connections with OOH in high-friction zones, owned “the wait” across cinema, OLV, CTV, and Spotify, and boosted relevance across digital communities. Media deepened cultural ties through category-first sports/entertainment partnerships, like Juno Awards and NFL integrations, and built emotional bonds through cheeky video content amplification, featuring fan-favourite Jon Hamm. Skip’s media power play drove incredible buzz, broke acquisition records, exceeded sales goals, and reintroduced Skip as the shortcut to the best parts of every Canadian’s day.
